Dynamic multimedia applications on all digital media (DVD, Web, Tablet, Mobile, etc.). Applications include, inter alia, interactive teaching tools, presentations and revelation of material and imaterial terittorial resources (places, historical events, link between product and places, production and service presentations, research programs, scientific papers, student works, etc.)

The multimedia application was developed in the framework of the project "ROADS AND CIVILIZATION OF TRANSHUMANITY WORLD HERITAGE" (transnational cooperation of the local LEADER program- measure 421, sub-measure 421B) by the co-beneficiary of the project, the University of Thessaly (Laboratory of Rural Space).
 

The multimedia application maps the travel routes called "vlahostrata" (from the mountains to the lowlands and vice versa) followed by the breeders of the wider mountainous area of ​​Aspropotamos, towards the plain of western Thessaly until the Farsala region and inverse, during the year aiming to find the required grazing area for feeding their flocks. This tool presents information of the flocks routes; the basics of landscapes where they were passing, as well as the relationships and developed transactions between nomadic and local populations.

The innovqtion of the multimedia application consists, among others, in the fact that for the first time in a multimedia environment, a series of information about the above travel routes "vlahostrata" is recorded. This information, among others, is related to the collection of rich literature, live testimonies, digital cartographic recordings of its journeys with a parallel 2D - 3D digital simulation and presentation of corresponding socio - economic, folklore, cultural and statistical data.
